It has not worked – the screen just appears grey with no change. My mac died about 3 weeks ago and there is no local mac store available.

When I attempt to re-start the (macbook pro) is reaches to the point of having a basic grey screen with the apple logo and the spinning gear. It just spins without any other change.

Any advice?
